As a full-time practicing attorney and mother to a young son, Julie was aggressive in advocating for herself while commuting for a year from her home in St. Thomas to the States for treatment including bilateral mastectomies, Adriamycin, Cytoxan and Taxotere, radiation to the chest wall, a prophylactic oophorectomy and hysterectomy.
